Distinguished string soloists from the Royal Opera House orchestra perform Mozart’s early C major quartet, composed in the early 1770s when Mozart was in Milan working on a new opera. They are then joined by pianist Victor Sangiorgio in the C minor piano quintet by nineteenth-century French composer Louise Farrenc, and Brahms’s dramatic and highly personal quintet in F minor, finally completed, after considerable effort, in 1865.
The performance will last approximately 2 hours, including an interval.
