06 Oct 2024, 18:00 – 20:00

Kings Place, 90 York Way, London N1 9AG

The Chilingirian Quartet perform two classical masterworks: Mozart’s beautiful E-flat quartet, and with Andrew Marriner, the ever-popular Clarinet Quintet by Johannes Brahms. In between, comes music from Armenia: a selection of Songs and Dances by Soghomon Soghomonian, known as Komitas, the Ottoman-Armenian priest, composer and musicologist, in arrangements for quartet made by Soviet Armenian composer Sergei Aslamazian. This is paired with the fugal quartet by another famous Soviet Armenian, Aram Khachaturian.

This event will last approximately 2 hours, including an interval.
